sfo right now 25 miles an hour. 16 in oakland. 22 in napa. mountain view reporting 18 miles an hour. i have to point out fairfield though taking the prize on this map 31 miles an hour. and the winds have actually let up a little bit from early this morning when we were clocking 65-75 miles an hour gusts along part of the coast and in some of our hills the winds are gusting to 60 miles an hour. even close to 60. i want to run you through think map and show you when i expect the winds to let up. they will strengthen a little bit before that happens. take a look off the coast. this is where we see our strongest wind. anywhere from 40-50 miles an hour. in and around the bay we're seeing 20-30. that is what i showed you a moment ago. by 2:00 or so notice how along the east bay and southern portions of the bay and along the peninsula starting to get a light orange here. maybe 25 close to 30 and then 35 close to 40 by 5:00 here. notice this section of orange here. the north bay looks like the winds will be lightening up for your neighborhood. and th

the soda fire in east napa counted, these are photos from the napa valley patch. this fire broke out around 6:40 last night burning 20 acres including a trailer. the largest is the 125-acre yellow fire in sonoma county. it badly damaged one home but the good news is no other homes are in its way. >> heard a big crash, my wife heard the explosion. there was an orange glow at the bottom of the hill next to the road. and i called it in. they said get out. >> the good news for neighbors there, full containment is expected sometime today. the other large fire is the silverado fire in napa county. it burned 75 acres and a barn before fire crews got it under control. right now cal fire has 65 cease firefighters going through training. they started extra staffing because of the early fire season and by july cal fire will have 160 extra firefighters to bring their manpower up to 410. live in the newsroom, cate caugiran, kpix 5. >> cate, thank you. firefighters will still be out monitoring the area for the next couple of days because of the warm weather and also the winds.
